Sherry worked full-time at Just for Kids Pediatric Dentistry from 1993 to the 2019. After more than 25 years in pediatric private practice, her love and enthusiasm for working with children reached new heights, and she decided to move into the field of public health.

In 2019, Sherry redirected her attention towards population health, making it her goal to assist the greatest number of children with their oral health. She became the Maine CDC School Oral Health Program's Program Manager, overseeing the surveillance of over 20,000 children each year throughout the state of Maine.

During her tenure at Just for Kids, Maine Dental Health Out-Reach, and Medical Care Development, Sherry developed a deep affection for the underprivileged and marginalized populations. Giving back to the children in her local communities is such a gift.

Launch of Simply Smiles
This pandemic triggered several issues, including a rise in tooth decay among young ones, which is an epidemic on its own. Witnessing the extensive teeth damage results from the statewide surveillance in 2023, Sherry chose to reenter the dental workforce to confront tooth decay using every preventive measure she could find.

About Miss Kate
Dental Coordinator
Miss Kate, the daughter of Sherry, joined the Simply Smiles team in November 2024. Her responsibilities include care coordination, assisting chairside, and entertaining the littles while other family members are being seen for an appointment.
Miss Kate grew up in Monmouth, Maine where she enjoyed playing a variety of sports, hunting, and fishing. She has experience working with children in a daycare setting. She was drawn to the dental field for her compassion to help others. Her caring heart adores children and the need to make them feel comfortable in a dental setting.
